Poplar Pulmonary Wellness, empowering you to live your best lung life!
Welcome to the Poplar Clinic!
Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT)
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) can help you breathe easier through chronic lung disease education. This includes education on your particular lung condition, learning breathing and coughing techniques, and identifying lung triggers and reviewing avoidance strategies. They can provide education on medication, treatments available, and connect you to resources in your community.
FOR RESIDENTS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA ONLY - An RRT can do a respiratory medication review, instruct you on the use of devices including inhalers, mucus clearing devices and oxygen equipment. They can create a written respiratory action plan which is a personalized plan that outlines what to do when your breathing is feeling well, and what to do when your breathing is worsening. All plans can be shared with your healthcare team.
